Solved No audio or visual notifications for incoming calls

I have and end user with a new Samsung Galaxy S23+. I installed the 3CX phone app and everything works fine except that it doesn't ring or provide a visual notification for incoming calls. I've tried rebooting the phone and uninstalling and reinstalling the app. The "silent" mode in 3CX is disabled, and Android is set to allow notifications from the 3CX app. All other settings are default.

I tried setting the "Use this device for calls" to "Desktop App" and "Smartphone", neither worked. I also enabled "Ring my mobile simultaneously" in the admin console.

As a test, I set up 3CX on my phone (Pixel 6) and it worked fine.

“Ring my mobile” calls the user’s cell number.

“Use this device…” …in a web client or Desktop App? That sets the web client to control the other device.

What version of 3CX and what version OS, if Windows?

To be clear you set up this extension on your phone?

Thanks for your feedback. Can I know what version of Android is installed on the Samsung device? Also what version of 3CX is installed “Android App Settings (top left hamburger menu) > About"

Hi, thank you for looking into this for me. The phone version is 18.1.3.135, but the desktop version is 18.12.422 which is an older version. Let me upgrade the desktop version on her computer and I'll let you know if that works.

That was exactly the issue. I updated it to 18.12.425 and it is working normally now. Thank you for the memory jog!
