Hi All,

We're trying to setup 2 SIP trunks on our system one will be used to call AUS clients and one to be used for NZ clients

My question is, how 3CX best identify if we're calling an AUS number and route it to the AUS voip/sip trunk, and if we're calling a NZ number and route it to the NZ voip/sip trunk?

Thanks,

I'm guessing both sites what to dial locally. In this case, it is best to go put both teams into groups. (NZ and AU)

In the outbound rule use the "Calls from extension group(s)". One rule would be for NZ and one for AU.
Then if one of the teams wants to call out of the other country then use a prefix on top of the group. eg, Calls from the NZ group and the prefix '2' then calls connect to the AU trunk to call out of aus.

...or force them to use the country codes/area codes, making the phone numbers country unique, for the outbound rules
