Hi. In the web conferencing, we've noticed that the Organizer has the ability to remotely disable / enable remote participant's cameras. This could be... problematic to say the least.

Is there a way to restrict this permission so that local camera control is only through the user?

Thanks!

We're aware of the downsides of the ability to remotely enable/disable another user's camera. We've been considering changing this slightly by adding a confirmation dialog on the participant's side in the case an organizer wants to enable someone else's camera/mic.

We'll likely be adding this or a variant of it sometime very soon.

Ok. If it matters at all, our 2 cents is that there should be a global role setting for control/blocked, and if control is allowed, the organizer can only turn the camera off, not on.

Thanks.

Thanks for your feedback. We'll look into how this will work exactly as to not impact users negatively with changes to this functionality.
