I have seen the 3cx guide on how to connect a small PC to a TV to set up a conference room. While that may be fine for some smaller customers or customers that have not experienced true video endpoints in a conference room I feel something more is needed. This customer type values ease of use over cost and is more than willing to spend a few thousand dollars on a conference room to have the endpoint be a professional room camera. I have one customer that has 30 Cisco SX10's deployed I am would like to displace.
I have seen conference room camera's that are android based. Has anyone tested anything like this with the android APP to see if it will act as an endpoint? There are H264 and H265 versions out there. Is there anything like this that can work without needed to go through a browser? Android TV box running the 3cx APP on it hanging off the back of a TV with a USB camera and remote? If anyone has accomplished something that has been able to get close to a conference room endpoint please share.
