Solved Provisioning Error

I'm trying to set up the 3cx app on my Android phone, Google Pixel 2, and when I scan the QR code I get, "Provisioning Error, PBX could not be reached. Connection timed out." Any ideas on how to remedy this?

This is a 3cx hosted locally on a debian vm.

Little more info. If I'm on the corp wifi it seems to work, but when I turn off wifi and go over the air then I have the problem provisioning.

That means the phone can't reach the provisioning URL when outside of your network.
That is on either port 443 or 5001(default).
Without that ability the phone can not configure.

Thank you for your reply. We discovered that, for some reason our old network admin had disabled a bunch of the rules in our firewall that allowed this.
