Hi,
I've got client recently flipped onto 3cx. So far all good.
One issue. They have 3cx app on smartphones, a mix of android and apple devices
They also have deskphone handsets (grandstream with onsite SBC)
Users want to have the app on their smartphones for use when out of office. But they don't want smartphone app to ring concurrently with the deskphone, it is noisy/annoying
on iOS devices it seems the 3cx app permits us to 'un-check' the account to temporarily just make account not-active on the smartphone app.
which is perfect - easy - it works
On android, we can't do this it seems.
I search forum and found old post saying "here is how to do it" but the links to an image that no longer exists. So the hint is not so useful now.
I search forum and found some people saying "yay this was implemented" but does not seem to be true on current android app ?
I can't just put DND mode on the android app because this means the desk phone also sees the DND status and it does not ring either, which is not what we want.
So, curious if anyone else has this issue / observed. I do NOT want to have to do management admin access every time user wants to 'disable push notify' via the 3cx admin page.
This needs to be self-service option the users can do themselves.
I did see some discussion of maybe create new 'status' in web client for user / so 'lunch' becomes instead 'working in office push disable smartphone'.
I'm not actually clear this is correct or possible.
so hoping someone can give me a hint maybe
if this is known issue, or an easy fix and I am just missing the obvious.
thank you!
Tim
