Search issue

When I use the search bar at contact tab on my phone and I try to search a contact with no first and last name and only a company name it wont show up and on the webclient it shows up.

We will check this okay.. Yes you are right. But the good thing is that the webclient works and thank you for pointing it out. Which means that the server API is OKAY. So it is a pure client side issue. This is good news because to push this fix, we do not depend on the server to be updated. We just fix and update clients.

In my hands.. I'm just unsure when this will be delivered but very soon.

BTW - I came to update this thread and I am seeing here - Android 6.0.1 - Use the legacy but we do not want to know about android 6 here. It is too old. I will not work on reports taken on old Android OS.

Using the latest app, I created a contact with no name, no last name and company name of "Vendetta"
This has a number associated with it.



I go in the app, and type "Vendetta"
And it comes up..

So this is a false alarm reported by a user using the legacy app on an Android os which was released 5 years ago in 2015.

Now Google themselves say this:
Android 6.0 Marshmallow was recently discontinued and Google is no longer updating it with security patches. Applications still support it but this will change in the coming months. All new apps will target Android 8.0 Oreo and support for older releases will gradually cease.Sep 15, 2018

We do not want too hear android 6 and 7 reports. Reports will be taken seriously from 8 and above.

Oxygen released with 5.1, lucky it went up to 6.0.1.
You will have no more updates for sure.
Which version of 3CX are you using? I think you can use the new app.
Subscribe to the beta program and try the latest update. Thats the version on which I made the test. Contact resolution on a contact with company name only, got picked up.

Well you can keep on using the legacy phone - it's ok.
When you decide to upgrade to a new phone, come here and we can discuss because we are always aware of the latest phone models.
