SIP trunk (technical) prefix

Hi!
I have setup an SIP trunk to a "unsupported/generic" provider.
They require all the dialed numbers to be prefixed with a "identity code" of specific length (say 3 digits). For example, to dial 12345678 I have to send 99912345678 as the "called number" to the provider.

This can be simply done by using "outbound rules" and adding the "prefix" to the prepend field... but...
in this way all the numbers dialed are stored in the logs with this prefix (as 3cx rewrites the number immediately after confirming the "dial") and also the "allowed countries" rules are not working/falsely triggered because the prefix is treated as part of the actual numer dialed.
Also, this makes re-dialing any number from log impossible as it again adds the prefix when dialing (previous) numbers as the prefix is "embedded" in the calee number

Is there any way to add this prefix/prepend on the "trunk" level without it being actually added to the numbers and being "recorded" in any way?

There are rules to manipulate the CallerID values in the trunk options but nothing related to Called numbers.
Is there any XML option that can be configured directly in the provider XML config?

My advice is to use a supported provider, this will solve this problem, you may spend more time trying to make this work than if you change to a supported provider

Hi!
Thanks for the response... but this does not actually answer my question.

I know i could switch to a supported provider... if that would be possible, but it is not.

On the other hand the trunk as such is working perfectly fine I would just like to get rid of the "technical prefix" required for using the trunk...

So your SIP provider wants xxx for authentication prepended to numbers and you want send this authentication code, from the phone, 3CX passes it out to the SIP prov, SIP prov sees the auth and number and sends the call out, then at the same time you want 3CX to remove the prepend from the number its already sent to the SIP provider...

Id tell your sip provider you want a better way to authenticate, or use a supported sip provider as already mentioned.

Thanks for your feedback!

Well... it's not really an authentication but for some reason the provider wants me to send all numbers prefixed with a "0"... and they also send all callers prefixed with a "0"...
To be honest... I already had/have a few trunks with the same provider where this "prefix" was not needed... but they now require it for some reason.

Anyway... I do NOT want the phones or users to "know anything about" that prefix... it's a pure "technical issue" required for the trunk to function properly.
This prefix has to be added just when using this particular trunk when the call is already routed to it and all other "processing" (allowed country codes, pattern handlings, e164...) is done.

Doing the mentioned way of adding the "prefix" in the "prepend field" kinda works... but this prefix is then "permanently added" to all numbers and consequentially stored in logs, processed by all rules etc... which is not what I want/need.

That wont work as you expected... You need to switch the provider or ask for a different solution to authenticate.

i am networking a 3cx with a mitel i have the same issue. to call a mitel extension from the 3cx i prepend a 5xxxx number with 776. it completes the call. i have over come caller id issues name and number, had to import a directory so the correct name and number would come up when the mitel calls in, all seems to be straight except the call log and call recordings show all the calls from 3cx to mitel with 776xxxxx. i built a route for 776 so they can return calls but it sure would be nice to have an option to not show the prepend digits in call log and recordings and stuff. The mitel has that option although you can't control the caller id like you can in the 3cx in trunk options in the mitel system. that is why i had to import the mitel directory (contacts to the 3cx) to get name to come across with ext number.
