Hi Everyone,

We just installed 3CX with Snom D785 phones for a customer this week and as usual all went well. They prefer everyone do attended transfer over blind so they can see if the attorney or secretary is available before sending the call through.

The receptionist has a D785 with 2 D7 consoles but the BLF buttons appear to act as a blind transfer. There used to be an option in phone provisioning to choose if we wanted blind or attended but it is gone. I added a Yealink T46U as a test and the option is there.

Is the only way to get attended transfer behavior back to change the phone settings or make a custom template?

When you have an active call on a Snom D785, simply click the transfer button under the screen and then click the BLF key; this will act as a blind transfer.

Correct, they want it to be an attended transfer though.

Currently I have them pressing transfer, dialing extension, announcing call and hitting transfer. They want the BLF use attended transfer by default.

Sorry, misunderstood your question.

The attended transfer is actually the default behaviour on Snom phones.

And it is therefore even simpler: in an active call, simply press the BLF button. When you are allowed to transfer the call, simply hang up.

Thanks, that worked which is what I thought. I will get back with the customer as she must be getting anxious/excited and hitting something else.

I just assumed since the option in phone provisioning was gone that it was defaulted to blind transfer.
