Good Morning!

We just installed a Snom-PA1 to integrate with a Bogen paging system using the line out interface and the aux port on the Bogen Amplifier. When we first installed and tested it worked. All of a sudden it stopped. The Snom is registered and answers, but there is no tone & audio. Before I factory reset it, I thought I'd ask a quick question.

Should I be able to do a network capture from 3cx and hear that audio being tested while making the call to the SNOM PA1? When we test we aren't able to pull the stream from the capture. We can pull other telephony calls from the capture.

Thanks!!

If the call has been answered by the PA1 then yes, you should be able to extract the audio. Provided that the device is indeed answering the call with a 200 OK, can you not see RTP traffic from the 3CX PBX to the device at all?

It's getting a 200 OK from the SNOM. Looking at the SNOM log. The 192.168.1.20 is the local SBC.

We did test using a pair of headphones into the SNOM and that worked.

That suggests that the PA1 is actually receiving and sending audio just fine and that you might have to take a closer look at the amplifier or whatever is connected to the PA1.

If the issue is not something obvious and you feel it might take time to identify the cause, I'd recommend that before proceeding, factory resetting the Snom PA1 just to be safe is not a bad idea especially since you can use PnP to reprovision it which makes it a very swift and easy process. Just remember that you have to disable the "SSL Transport and Ciphers" option under "Settings >> Security" in the Management Console for it to be able to provision.

Thanks Chris!! I did a hail mary and grabbed a cheap audio cable from Walmart tried using that to integrate with the PA-1 and the AMP and that seemed to work. Thanks!!
