My customer has only desktop phones on 3cx (Yealink T4 range) No computer or 3cx app on mobile phone.

If they transfer a caller with a attended transfer to a colleague and that colleague does not pick up the phone or it goes to voicemail how can they take back the original caller ?

Hi!

If they transfer a caller with a attended transfer to a colleague and that colleague does not pick up the phone
If you do an attended transfer and the person you are transferring to is ringing and not answering, all you need to do is cancel the Attended Transfer and resume the call.

If you are blind transferring, then if the person you transferred to is ringing and not answering, then you can dial the pickup code (default is *20*) and get the call back.

...or it goes to voicemail
If the call is connected somewhere, regardless if VMail, another extension, etc, you can't from a deskphone alone get the call back.
With the WebClient you could, but the extension would need elevated rights.

I did install a Yealink T4 on my location.
I called from one extension (via 3cx app on mobile phone) to a second extension (yealink t41 phone).
I can transfer the call to an external number and it doesn't mater if i get the voicemail or the person, i can disconnect the call and then i push on the hold button and i get the original caller back.

so i am glad that it also only works with a phone.
