Hi,

I was wondering about the teams integration, step 2 where it says get the certificate.... where should this certificate be pointing to? our 3cx Server so blabla.3cx.com.au?

The certificate should be registered for the desired SBC FQDN chosen right above that, for example "teams.blabla.com.au" and then you also need to point that DNS name via a A record to the 3CX PBX IP.

the cert must be pointing to something which you own in your email domain registered in teams.
Hence it cannot be any 3CX domain or onmicrosoft.com. Assume your company's email address is @contoso.com
then

1. Create in your DNS an A record, eg teams.contoso.com and point it to the public IP address of your 3CX Installation. It goes without saying that your public IPv4 Address of 3CX must be in this case static
2. Buy for the just created DNS record a SSL cert from any of MS supported issues.

3. Upload the private key and the SSL cert to 3CX. Ensure that you include in the cert all intermediate certificates. The cert cannot be a wild card
4. Run the two scripts and wait. I noticed you can reduce the wait time by open and closing the teams client regularly to update its configuration

DNS Records​

To clear up what you must enter in the Microsoft Teams Direct Routing FQDN section in 3CX.

This FQDN will be used by Microsoft to connect to 3CX to place outbound calls. Therefore it must point to the public IPv4 address of your 3CX installation. It goes without saying that for this your public IP address must be static!

Assume your email address domain is [email protected]. Then create an A record DNS entry in your DNS server for teams.marketing-3cx.com. Point this A record to your 3CX public IP address! You cannot do this for domains you don’t own, such as onmicrosoft.com or any 3CX provided domain as you don’t control the DNS server of this domain. AAAA records are not needed as Teams does not support IPv6.

Note: In this example, teams.marketing-3cx.com was used but it can be anything you like it to be as long it is within marketing-3cx.com.
