I have someone who currently uses Teams full time, using Microsoft for PSTN calling.
They want to test using 3CX and the Teams integration to see how it works.
Use a 3CX license and a SIP trunk provider with 3CX.
Can the 3CX integration be tested with a fully functional Teams setup with just a couple of users/extensions without negatively affecting the rest of the Teams setup?
I saw in the Teams_Dial_Plan script the line:
Set-CsOnlinePstnUsage -Identity Global -Usage @{remove="All"}
I wasnt sure if it would be removing any of the existing Teams setup.

@Chris Wheeler,

the remove "all" is for a default entry in a dial plan which we don't need in the 3CX DialPlan.
What I would suggest is to run the default setup script (script 1).
Then before you run script 2, ensure you remove all users from the script except the user who shall try the integration as this will map the user to the 3CX DialPlan.

Depending on how the current integration was generated in Teams, there might be additional changes been needed to make it work as the configuration options are near endless

Thank you. One last question, do you know if the default entry the script removes (Remove All) will have an affect on the Teams users who will not be testing with 3CX?
Does the Remove All only apply to the newly created dial plan "3CX PSTN Usage" and not affect any default or other existing dialplans?

By the time you are trying to do a "hybrid" configuration, I would not execute this line to remove this, in case it is being referenced by any of the existing Voice Route or other Teams Entity.
Note though that as mentioned before, you may need to manually change things to make this work.
