I am trying to provision a phone that was set up on another phone service. I factory reset the phone, loaded the newest firmware from 3cx, and then tried to provision it. Provisioning will not work.

I tried copying the provision link into the phone and auto-provisioning, but it just says "Updated" and does nothing. Rebooting does nothing. We have a router phone on site that allowed the phone to show up under PNP phones, and I tried provisioning it remotely that way. The phone reboots, comes back up, says it skipped updates, and comes up in factory reset state.

I followed the basic configuration steps provided by 3cx. Nothing.

Using V20. Is there something special that needs done to this phone?

What is the current firmware version?

Some additional questions:

3CX or OWN FQDN?
Does the extension which you are trying to provision the phone to have any BLF keys?

Some SSL certificates cannot be recognised by the phone so this might cause some issues, as well as some special characters in the BLF key names, like accents and so on.

Delete the phone from the existing extension and create a new one without any additional extension configuration as a test.

3cx FQDN. Self-hosted.

I've tried multiple extensions, none of which have BLFs or any other phones assocaited with them.

The system is less than a month old. The Snoms we added (And the one other Yealink) went on flawlessly. The other Yealink is a router phone - Its disconnected at this time to make sure thats not an issue (When it was online, this Yealink would show up as a PNP phone).

Issue Resolved: While troubleshooting another issue, I stumbled into the Blacklist page. I had no idea provisioning could trigger a blacklist entry.

Apparently when I tried provisioning the phone the first time, it hadn't been completely reset, and when the auto-provision failed the phone was blacklisted. Removing from blacklist it came right up.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

If the router phone is disconnected, are you trying to set this one up as a router phone also? It needs an SBC or router phone.

@bomb Glad to know this is resolved ;)
