I have a self hosted system v18 completely up to date with a Linux SBC. We have about 80 cancel phones most of which are v64 and about 10 v65 all on the latest firmware. Randomly the phones will freeze up and the screen will go black and stay that way until rebooted. So far this only happens while in a call and only on the v64. Fanvil gave me a newer firmware to try but it’s still happening. It’s frustrating since this client is medical and sometimes waiting for insurance companies just to have the phone freeze up. And it seems to be random. Sometimes at 5 min and others at 20 min, so it’s very hard to reproduce, and so random it’s impossible to try and get logs. I have tested one phone and left it on a call with no issues for 3 hours. Any ideas?

This cannot be forced from the PBX as there seems to be an issue with the device.
From the PBX side though you need to ensure that the machine is under the 3CX Recommended Hardware Specification.

Yes the server exceeds the specs recommended. I believe it is an issue with the Fanvil phone. Am going to try replacing a few phones with another Brand to verify.

Correct, you will be able to eliminate the issue. However if the phone freeze this has to be reported to vendor.

Were you able to resolve your issue with the Fanvil V64 freezing? I have a customer who has reported this issue on 1 of 3 V64 phones and it has happened twice this week on a phone seldom used. Do I RMA the phone or is there a firmware fix? The system is V20 hosted by 3CX. Thanks in advance.

There was no feedback however i do believe that this has to be reported to Fanvil.

This has been reported to fanvil and they have given me different firmware to try, but no resolution as of yet.
