Hello.
Thinking of upgrading our company license from Pro to Enterprise so that I can roll out the newer V18 along with the many features. I've been looking around trying to determine if it's possible, even from a basic/default option to have a generic background for video conferencing. I'm not seeing that anywhere. Is this an option? It probably won't stop me from continuing research and possibly upgrading but with 'every other' video conference system allowing at least a generic background it seems odd that 3CX has't produced or allowed this in their newer version.

Please tell me I'm wrong ...

What do you mean by background? For the video feeds like Zoom and Teams? No this is not currently possible and not even sure WebRTC has that capability.

However, under Settings > Conferencing, you can set a logo to display in the background of the webmeeting UI itself, where the 3CX logo generally is (center of the feeds view.)

Yes - I was referring to having the option of a basic background, like blur or something else as the background of users whenever they enter meetings similar to what Teams and Zoom has.

As ConceptWeb said, it's not currently possible, but we are keeping our eyes open for ways to do this.
The main challenge as far as I am aware is the fact that our meeting runs through a Browser and that WebRTC does not have a straight forward way to do this.

Most other vendors I believe achieve this with with installable binary clients (Google does it via browser I think, but probably they have a lot of server side rendering, not client-side...).
