Hi :)

we use "Schedule Conference" from a users webclient to create a planned webconference which should be used regularly (once a week). We use "Desktop Outlook (.ics)" and share the calendar entry (with the invitiation link) to the participants. so far, so good.

This works for a random time of webconferences, as long as randomly the shared invitation link no longer works and redirects to a troubleshooting page from 3CX - and the conference is no longer visible from webclients conference list. Its just gone.

So, as far as I understood:
  • this is the prefered (only) way of creating a recurring conference with 3CX as of now - as recurrence is not controllable from the 3CX weblient it has to be done one user side (-> via the calender recurrance)
  • the conferences (and their links) should stay online as long as the meeting is deleted by the creator? Or are the meetings (and their links) just randomly cancelled / kicked when 3CX updates their meeting infrastructure?
  • Is there a log that helps troubleshooting webconferences?
  • If conferences are removed from the remote conference server (by somewhot technical reason) - why not send an email to the meeting creator?
How are your experiences with recurring meetings? Any lessons learned / best practices? I have read through quite some threads here, and the above bullet points are what i have take from it. I am quite frustrated now with randomly vanbishing conferences...

Thanks for any help or bits with this!

Hey @nzr

To answer your questions,

• There is currently no way to create recurring WebMeetings via 3CX so doing this on the user side would be the way to go.

• WebMeetings are deleted a week after their start date. If you want a WebMeeting to be used more than once, I suggest scheduling it far in the future.

• There's no specific log for Webmeeting. The Data and Information required for troubleshooting Webmeeting issues would depend on a number of things such as the nature of the issue, the setup involved, etc.

Regarding recurring Webmeetings, there does exist a suggestion in our Ideas section. You might want to consider upvoting it to help get it pushed up the list: https://www.3cx.com/community/threa...erence-audio-video-meeting.73359/#post-338412

Hi, thanks for your quick and helpful reply!

The fact that WebMeetings are deleted a week after their start date was new to me. So as an easy workaround, setting up the meeting in the far future is "okay" and should work for now.
