We are a school using 3cx to run lessons with students who are at home.

I have noticed in the last few weeks i am not getting a report and the recording link of a webmeeting i run myself. We start the recording part way in to the meeting and end the meeting with the "End meeting option" The webmeeting is NOT removed from the schedule conference at the end of the meeting however the report does not arrive sometimes.

Our 3cx is hosted onsite and is showing it's in sync with the webmeeting servers, we run between 30 and 60 webmeetings a day and the vast majority work fine and we get the reports and recording links.

Something somewhere seems amiss at times, i'm not sure what!

Hi @Matthew Wheeldon,

Can you PM me the organizer's link of one of the WebMeetings that never sent you a report and recording so that we can investigate further?

Also could you include some information, such as out of the 30 - 60 a day, how many are not sending reports and recordings?

Hi @Matthew Wheeldon

I had a permanent version of what you are experiencing very recently.

In our case, it was necessary to modify our firewall settings to allow the following FQDNs through to our on-premise 3CX PBX via the PBX https port (As configured in 3cx). If unchanged from the basic 3cx installation, that port is likely to be 5001, but could be 443.
  • zone-a.3cx.net
  • zone-b.3cx.net
  • zone-c.3cx.net
  • zone-d.3cx.net
  • zone-e.3cx.net
  • zone-f.3cx.net
  • zone-i.3cx.net
  • webmeeting-director.3cx.net
These are listed at the following link under section c) "PBX - Meeting Sync"
3CX WebMeeting Errors and how to troubleshoot them

I don't know if this will help, but if you don't have all of them allowed through your firewall (and if necessary communication from your 3cx pbx is randomly sent to any of the above - [i don't know this, just hypothesising]), perhaps this might cause those sporadic results if communications with one of the above are not allowed through?

There are other FQDNs in the above link that should also be added to your firewall settings to allow traffic.
