Hi,

Have a customer installation on-prem, which was working without issues. Suddenly the webmeetings have stopped working altogether.

If you click on the "Webmeeting" link inside WebClient, just get a blank screen.

If you schedule a meeting and then attempt to use the associated join URL, you are redirected to https://www.3cx.com/user-manual/video-conferencing/troubleshoot/

The FQDN for this license was changed a few weeks ago, but this was done in the correct way: backup, uninstall, unlink FQDN, reinstall, restore.

I am wondering if this is at server end on the FQDN, as the meetings (and all other features) were working fine and there have been no other configuration changes on the firewall or network.

Usual steps, including update & reboot, undertaken, but the same result 100% of the time. FQDN https://XXXXXX.3cx.net/

Any suggestions welcomed.

FYI, as per other threads, have checked there is no AnitVirus running on server or client PC which could be causing this. Multiple client devices tried both inside and outside the network where the PBX is running.

It looks like your FQDN changed to XXXXX-uk.3cx.net.

This is correct and it happens after you unbinded a license from an old WebMeeting FQDN and try to rebind it. All newly generated WebMeeting FQDN's must have a country postfix on them.

There is a known issue that this is not properly updated in the PBX. A fix for this is arriving in one of the next service packs. In the meanwhile you can fix this by going to your PBX > Settings > Parameters > WM_FQDN and change this to the new FQDN. A restart of the config service may be required.

The new FDQN is in fact XXXX.3cx.co.uk

The OLD FQDN was XXXXX-uk.3cx.net

Could you please update your end, if you check the license it is assigned to XXXXX.3cx.co.uk not the old one anymore.

I updated the parameter to the new FQDN after the reinstall.

Thanks

Andrew

You have a WebMeeting FQDN and PBX FQDN.
I was refering to the WebMeeting FQDN. This is the one that has changed due to the reasons i mentioned above.

Ok, I will reset the webmeeting FQDN to the old one (even though I went though a whole reinstall, restore to update it!) and check if webmeeting are working on the OLD FQDN.

Thanks

Hi Leonidas,

I re-read your post and now understand why it wasnt working....

I will update the parameter with the corrected URL for webmeeting.

I was getting myself confused as the prior fqdn was dcspsuk (the additional uk was what threw me off guard!)

You can mark this as solved as a PICNIC (Problem In Chair, Not In Computer)

Andrew
