  1. Benefits of the Microsoft Teams integration with 3CX

So you're not saving anything doing this route, if anything it costs more since you're paying for 3CX or hosting, plus your SIP trunks/dialtone, PLUS your Microsoft Teams Phone System licences. The reason we use it is because Teams Phone System is extremely basic. We manipulate caller ID, so...
  2. Calls from queues no longer show the queue name on the caller ID on Teams desktop, only on cell phone

As of a week ago, whenever someone calls into one of our queues, the caller ID on Teams desktop just shows the caller's number, and their actual name and doesn't prepend the name with the queue name. On Teams on iOS and Android it does still do this, so we're constantly having to grab our phone...
  3. What format does the users phone # need to be in in Azure AD as any of my users with extensions vs DIDs only do not work

We started using Teams/3CX integration just over a year ago. At the time, my 10 users all had DID numbers for direct dial, so, in AzureAD I'd add their phone # like +16471231234 and it would work fine. The only challenge with this was that it would make our signatures or presentations ugly as...
  4. How do I send ALL calls to a user extension to a queue?

I have an employee who left a month ago. I went into his extension, and for every status like Available, Away, DND, etc I set all the forwarding options to be our main call queue. So, "If I don't' answer calls within X seconds" and "If I am busy or my phone is unregistered" and "After timeout...
  5. How do I join or leave queues as I can't dial *62 or *63 as Teams sends it at 1*63 and 1*62.

So use Teams and 3CX at the same time? 2 soft phones? And that's a logical solution to you? Jeeze what ever would I have done without you! Fantastic idea, can't wait for someone to call in and have both devices ring at the same time. LOL. My goodness some people.
  6. How do I join or leave queues as I can't dial *62 or *63 as Teams sends it at 1*63 and 1*62.

*62 is to join all queues and *63 is to leave all queues, I've never changed these from default. *3 shows that it's for "change profile status" *3 also doesn't work, Teams shows it dialing out as +1*3 and then fails.
  7. How do I join or leave queues as I can't dial *62 or *63 as Teams sends it at 1*63 and 1*62.

If users set themselves to Away or DND on Teams does that log them out of queues or make them inaccessible? Not clear how to join or leave them as star codes don't work (I followed the 3CX and Teams setup guide to the letter). It just sends it as +1*63 and fails, and 3CX shows no mention of...
  8. Teams calling no longer working since yesterday, all users show red unregistered in 3CX, this happened after some 3CX update

We have been using Teams with 3CX for several months now. Setting it up was very easy, and in fact I did it numerous times to test different data centres and performance, so I'd deploy to one in Toronto, try it out for a day, wipe it and then do Montreal, etc, so it's very easy to configure...
  9. Solved We have 3CX outbound routes starting with *7, *8, etc, but they fail on Teams. Could someone help me with the Teams dial plan?

Thank you, I will try posting on a Teams help forum to see if someone can let me know what to change this to. Have a great day.
  10. Solved We have 3CX outbound routes starting with *7, *8, etc, but they fail on Teams. Could someone help me with the Teams dial plan?

Great thanks, would I need to update the SBC config setting as well for the voice route thing mentioned a couple posts above or not necessary? I had only given it maybe an hour before giving up so maybe I'll add it and try to wait 24 hours.
  11. Solved We have 3CX outbound routes starting with *7, *8, etc, but they fail on Teams. Could someone help me with the Teams dial plan?

Thank you, the only problem I see here though is how does it know the user dialed *8? I don't want to change the normal 10 digit rule since users still will dial out normal 10 or 11 digit numbers, but they may optionally dial *8 or *9 before the number to pick the outbound route. If I do it...
  12. Solved We have 3CX outbound routes starting with *7, *8, etc, but they fail on Teams. Could someone help me with the Teams dial plan?

We use a bunch of outbound routes on 3CX, and on 3 of them they are prefixed with *7, *8, and *9 which is used to change the outbound caller ID. So, a user would dial *814162321100 for example, and the outbound route strips 2 digits, and sends 14162321100 to the designated route. On the Call...
