Starting this morning I have several users reporting new behavior. They can no longer transfer calls. I've attached the screen they get. They are using: 18.0 (Build 35) at the PBX and version 20 at the iOS end. Any advice on how to resolve? We've tried all the standard things: restarting services, restarting the server, reinstalling the app on the device, relogging in etc. Transferring calls via desk phone still works fine.

Thanks,

@architechture
There are two ways in the screenshot above:
1 - directly dial the number and "call" it
2 - tap the Magnifier button to open the contact picker and "call" from there.

So, did the transfer method change with the new version? She didn't provide detail but I'd guess she did it the same way she always has. And the issue has come from more than one work from home user that has been using transfer for months if not years.

The difference is that the old method - using the picker - now is the "second" one, ie you have to tap the magnifier.
In the past, once you tap blind or attended transfer, you were directly in contact picker.
In actual, once you tap blind or attended transfer, you're on the keypad, where you have to tap the magnifier to open the picker.

That seems to have helped. Thank you.

It's very handy if you know the number - assuming you want to call 133 Zoey, is much faster to directly dial 133 and call rather than to open the picker and scroll to the bottom or search for Zoey(s)

I agree. But users get used to doing it one way.

I tested it on my iPhone with the latest update of the 3CX app (20.0.10.76).
After att. transfer I see the attached screen. I tap on the arrow top left and I'm able to go to the teams list or BLF list. Call the desired collegue and return in the same screen as attached. How do I tranfer the caller to my college? Tested this with internal numbers, not external numbers.

Ronald.

I tried different things, but nothing works. How do i transfer when i am on the screen like @Ronaldvdv

@Ronaldvdv @bitn2
1 - old way: press the magnifier, tap the contactt/number to call, then you have the Join.
2 - type the number and call, then you have the Join

Now it works, dont know what i am doing now different :-D

Ahh, but i cant use the team to transfer the call. Thats always a new call. Also the phonebook. Only if dial the number it works...

I tried it again, it only works if i know the number and dial it by myself. No team and no phonebook, that doesnt give me the join button.

The magnifier button is for contacts, bottom left. does not work?

Moment, I'll try again. I always used the arrow top left to go back to team or phone book.

That works, thx. A little bit complicated and you cant use the team.

I have customers using the 3cx ios app and they are also having the transferring issue.
I have got them to press the magnifier and then select the user to transfer to which worked yesterday.
Today they are still using the same method but when they press the join button to send the call across, it pops up with the option for transfer or att transfer (even though they have already done this step). the app doesn't recognise its the join button but instead thinks its the transfer button.

I assume this is an issue with the newest update as this only started when the app was updated?

Same issue here: clients have been unsuccessful in transferred calls, using the contacts option but the join button simply just does not work and end up in a loop or end up cutting off the call to the customer. In the end, they get a team member to call customers back directly.

ETA on a fix would be great!

You need to use the magnifier down left, not the arrow up left. Its a little complicated but works fine.

We are looking into this
