    There is no direct connection. We have the extension in 3cx set to forward calls from that extension to the external number for the ticketing system. Number not shown for privacy reasons.

    Problem ended up being that the firmware from the phone manufacturer (Yealink) was not the one that would make the phone work with 3CX. Didn't realize there would be firmware supplied by 3CX that would be more up to date than Yealink's.
