Have a client complaining that when they put callers on hold (shared parking) the calls are being dropped. I checked the logs and I see a lot of "Terminated by Parking orbit (SP1)" today. Wondering if someone can help me understand what it means and how to explain/resolve for the client?
They...
So it seems if we want our internal and ring back calls to have similar functionality as v18 I would have to set each phone manually or maybe via custom template to use a different ringtone for the external alert-info setting.
Our inbound calls all come in to a queue so we can have those use...
We just upgraded our last client from v18 to v20 and they are complaining that the Queue calls put on Shared Park are ringing back with the same tone as the incoming calls. I believe in v18 it would just beep to alert a call was parked after 30 or 60 seconds.
I realize we could enable custom...
Hoping someone can help. Is there a way to view the status of the phone switch/pc port (i.e. link status/speed) from Fanvil x6 x5u phones web portal? We have some remote clients and I'd like to be able to determine if something is currently connected to those ports on their phones.
Thx
Running some tests and upgraded our v18 to v20, seems to be working ok except 2 of our Fanvil phones (x5s & x3u) can't put calls on hold.
On the x3u the message flashes briefly "Dialog does not exist" and the call disappears from the phone. In the Admin the call shows that its still talking...
Got it thx, I was hoping someone more knowledgeable than me would tell me if there existed a built-in template that works with these phones.. I will reach out again to the mftr and see if they can provide any info.
We have a client who has found a Konftel 800 conference phone and asked to have it configured with their 3cx v18 system over SBC. I've not found much info so was hoping to hear if anyone has successfully configured one of these phones for 3cx and if you have any pointers. According to the...
I'm experiencing what I believe to be the same issue as the thread below, users who have Ring My Mobile Simultaneously enabled are having internal calls fail to ring their mobile phone, in our voip providers log I see the caller id is the internal users extension i.e. 108 instead of the user or...
ok so like many of my issues I've determined I'm an idiot, disregard, I thought we had the nonbranded x4u's but we had ended up ordering the x5u's and the 3cx firmware worked fine. Appreciate your help and if anyone else runs into this it might help.
Well I've tried all the published firmware for the x4u model and got the same invalid file error, didn't realize it would be so different from the regular x4u. You had the unbranded x3u and were able to reflash to the branded firmware without issue?
So it's currently the unbranded Fanvil x4u phones they have a generic firmware that makes the device appear as VOIP Phone, here is what it says in the info tab. I'm trying to update in the phone ui and using the current 3cx firmware for the fanvil x4u.
Model:
IP Phone
Hardware:
V1.0...
I'm trying to update the firmware on an unbranded x4u phone but when I attempt to do it in the phone ui it gives me "invalid file" mesage on the phone display and doesn't take the firmware
We are having some issues with non-branded fanvil phones as well, I was wondering if you found a way to reflash the nonbranded phones with the branded firmware?
So we purchased several x4u unbranded phones with the understanding they would work the same as the branded versions. When provisioning they work and appear as VOIP phone however some features in 3cx seem to be disabled like reboot, firmware upgrade, etc.. So would it be possible to reflash...
Hoping this is my ignorance, I've searched and not come up with the answer although I'm sure it's been asked.
If I setup a couple change status buttons so users can change from available to away and back is there a way to display the user's current status on the phone? I'm using a Fanvil x5s...
That was my feeling as well, just rolled out a stun phone and had to open it up and was wondering what others feel about having 5060 wide open. Lots of bad actors out there trying to connect to 5060, but I suppose properly configured that should mean lots of ip's blacklisted.
Just looking for advice from the experts here on whether you generally recommend leaving port 5060 open or restricting access on your installs. I realize that use case would dictate whether they need to be open but looking for general advice on how others do it?
Thx
We have an SBC at the site with the fax machine, but the other location does not have anything currently and the only device will be one analog cordless phone.
I was hoping not to have to add an SBC and I thought I read a post last month about a remote ATA setup without SBC or VPN but my...
