Solved Unbranded x4u phones

So we purchased several x4u unbranded phones with the understanding they would work the same as the branded versions. When provisioning they work and appear as VOIP phone however some features in 3cx seem to be disabled like reboot, firmware upgrade, etc.. So would it be possible to reflash these phones with the standard firmware to regain access to these features?

Hi,

Contact your Fanvil distributor and find out. The unbranded ones are probably using a different firmware so they will not work with 3CX as intended.

Alternatively, you could take one of those phones, flash it with 3CX supported firmware, then factory reset it and test it.

If it is a standard X4U it should work fine and as expected.

Marking this as solved since you mentioned on another post that it was X5U and the 3CX firmware worked in the end.
