  1. Webclient - switching from CTI to Softphone

Aha! I didn't realise it needed "turning on" - many thanks Saqqara!
  2. Webclient - switching from CTI to Softphone

We like the Webclient a lot, I'm gradually pulling clients away from using the Windows client unless there's some pressing reason (e.g. Outlook integration) that keeps them. The one thing I can't work out how to do, however, with the webclient, is how to switch it to softphone mode. If I'm in...
  3. Solved Phones unregister and register

Might not be relevant but one issue you get with Sonicwall is it doesn't keep the link up as long as other devices might think! That's to stop it running out of database entries for live links. But you can increase it. It's part of the firewall rule taht permits the traffic in question, so you...
  4. How to tell if your SBC is running?

Just told you how to tell if it's up! :-) If it can't log in to the PBX for any reason, there'll be no active TCP Connection on port 5090.
  5. How to tell if your SBC is running?

On a Linux install, by the way, you can derive the same info from the more boring text screen you'll get if you type in "netstat -a" at the command prompt. You can do this on Windows as well.
  6. How to tell if your SBC is running?

It would be nice if the SBC (Windows) app had a system tray icon to confirm that it's running and connected, but until there is, here's a handy tip! Run the "Resource Monitor" app Go to the Network tab Open the "TCP Connectivity" and "Listening Ports" panels. If the SBC is up and running...
  7. Phone drop-offs with Netgear Nighthawk X4S D7800

Thanks. Yealink T42S, configured by 3CX (up toddate f/ware and templates, v15sp2) I did say - three phones! :-) In this case replacing the router with a Draytek has solved the problem, and the customer was happy to do it. (And we normally use Zyxel or Drayteks anyway - *he* chose the Netgear...
  8. Phone drop-offs with Netgear Nighthawk X4S D7800

We have a client who set up his own LAN with a Netgear router. We've not used the router but we checked that the SIPALG could be disabled and went ahead implementing three Remote(STUN) extensions at his location. He actually tested the phones at a different location, with a different router...
  9. Implemented 3CX SBC Status in Admin GUI

Can I add another "bump" to this thread as it's now v15.5 and still no sign on the SBC windows implementation of a status display, nor any way to see if an SBC is alive on the 3CX console. :) Would be really useful esp as more and more 3CX instances are going out on hosted services.
  10. Wildcard SSL with yealink

Have you tried upgrading the firmware on the phones to one that is "recommended" by 3CX - I had a problem with needing to disable "only accept trusted certificates" to get them to remote provision, but, once provisioned, if upgraded to the preferred firmware that function could be re-enabled. My...
  11. Gigaset 850-Go

Hmm. I spoke too soon. The Gigaset *is* registered - and I can put calls to it - but the PBX keeps throwing out a log entry Got REGISTER for foreign registrar: registrar host <sip:@192.168.100.45:5060> is not mine! Where 192.168.100.45 is the entry I put in the "domain" field. So I'm baffled...
  12. Gigaset 850-Go

To complete this thread here in one location is the Gigaset config entries I made that appear to work. Connection name : IP1 (provided by GIgaset - I may change it) Provider: Other provider (don't use the Config Assistant - won't help!) Authentication name: 202 (extension number for 3CX)...
  13. Gigaset 850-Go

Aha! Sussed it! In the "advanceds settings" alongside the boxes for server IP address, Port number, etc., there's a box marked "Domain". I left this blank. So I tried fillign in a random host name in that box. I promptly got a log entry on the 3CX system that Extension 202 "randomname:5060"...
  14. Gigaset 850-Go

Odd but, no reason not to give it a go! :-) Cheers.
  15. Gigaset 850-Go

I agree, it ought to show in the logs. Baffled that it doesn't. Untill I have time to wireshark it... But I'm happy the IP is correct. The Gigaset is on DHCP, and I'm talking to it's web interface from a PC on the same LAN, also, it can see Siemens mothership, so it has a good IP, and a good...
  16. Gigaset 850-Go

Has anyone set up a Gigaset 850Go with 3CX? I have one of these because the base station connects directly to our house PSTN line but it would be useful to be able to transfer 3CX calls to the dect handsets as well. I've logged in to the base unit and configured the first IP config thus...
  17. Yealink T4x template update - what changed?

Pity there's no release-note for new templates. Especially as the script in the GUI says "lots of new features". It would be useful to know what they are. After all, many of us have customised the templates so if we download a new one, we have to re-do the custom changes, and I'd hate to go to...
  18. Remote phone auto-provision.

Ah! I think I've sussed it! Because I'm pre-configuring the phone in our office before sending it to the customer.... I have, or had, Opt-66 set on our inhouse DHCP pointing at our in-house 3CX server. Despite using Multicast these days it looks like the phone checks Opt-66 *first* and if it...
  19. Solved v15 Email Settings fail

My solution to the google cloud issue was very simple. I have my office firewall set up to collect on port 26 and forward that traffic to my in house mail server on port *25*. Now all I have to do is set 3cX hosted instances up to use port 26 instead of port 25 for outgoing email and to send...
  20. Remote phone auto-provision.

This *is* remote - the server is on a Google VM, so there's no "Local" option open to me. Otherwise I could've prov'd it locally then switched it to remote. Of course, I could configure it by hand but that wont help when someone wants to tinker with BLFs or something... Yes, if I add the MAC...
