  1. Fanvil H3 Firmware Upgrade Fails through 3CX

John, Thanks, I forgot about the root cert issue. The H3 doesn't have a V2 yet as far as I am aware, and these are a common phone for Hotel deployments. These have only recently been purchased, and it's a fresh deployment. I've not encountered this before as the previous H3's I have deployed...
  2. Fanvil H3 Firmware Upgrade Fails through 3CX

Good Morning All, Got large amount (~100) Fanvil H3's running through 3CX V20 on an SBC. Everything is working as expected except there is a firmware upgrade shown on the dashboard. 2.14.0.7386 - 2.14.0.7387. Pressing upgrade through 3CX seems to reboot the phone but not do anything else...
  3. 3CX RTP Firewall 'Other' Ports

Thanks, now I have the full range I can see a lot more information about this. Couldn't find the range listed anywhere on the official firewall docs, but I guess most people are using SBC for phones in a different subnet.
  4. 3CX RTP Firewall 'Other' Ports

Afternoon All, I have a 3CX (V20) install on a different subnet (10.251.11.2) to the IP phones (10.241.11.0/24). I have opened ports 9000-10999 and 5060-5063 between the IP Phones and the PBX and two way audio is working fine. When I attempt to use the *777 echo test, I have noticed that the...
  5. Don’t be “THAT” Guy Vol.1: Keep Complex Credentials

I rather mean native 2FA for remote administrators. The Audit log does show the source IP, but when the system is locked down to a Public IP, and people use a VPN to access the system, the same IP is in use each time. As an MSP imagine that 10 people have access to this phone system in order to...
  6. Don’t be “THAT” Guy Vol.1: Keep Complex Credentials

+1 for MFA. Also having multiple logins would be useful from an MSP point of view. An audit log isn't as much use when all the changes are made by one 'user'
  7. Solved H3 wont update firmware through 3CX Management.

John, just wanted to say thanks for your help. I have managed to get this working using HTTP local access, even for the remote subnets. I have also managed to get an account for the Fanvil FDMCS (FDPS and FDMS). This way the phones will turn on, be updated online, then receive the provisioning...
  8. Solved H3 wont update firmware through 3CX Management.

I see, I did not realize the phones default to HTTP when on a local network. Is this the same behavior for a Locally Routed network. For example direct connection through a firewall rather than through an SBC would result in HTTP connection?
  9. Solved H3 wont update firmware through 3CX Management.

John, I understand the TFTP option as it bypasses the HTTPS requirement for the root cert, thanks for this I will give it a try. How would option B assist? Would it not just try HTTPS from the temporary PBX. I appreciate you taking the time to answer these questions.
  10. Solved H3 wont update firmware through 3CX Management.

Hi John, This is an on premise system but it has multiple subnets due to security and volume of phones. The subnets each have an SBC on.
  11. Solved H3 wont update firmware through 3CX Management.

Hi @JohnS_3CX Thanks for the quick reply! I tried upgrading to v2.12.0.7275 manually using the web UI of the phone, and that worked fine. I still cannot update the phone from v2.12.0.7275 to v2.14.0.7387 using the 3CX Management page. I have found this and am not sure if it is relevant; it...
  12. Solved H3 wont update firmware through 3CX Management.

Good Afternoon All, I have a self hosted 3CX using FQDN that resolves both locally and publicly, with IP phones on another VLAN / Subnet configured via an SBC. Using FQDN that resolves both locally and publicly. Still in the setup stages of deployment. I have a handful of Yealink T33G, T46U...
