15.5 Windows client over a vpn

Anyone have a setup like this. We have the desktop clients setup and pointed over Vpn to internal IP of 3cx server. The yealink handsets are fine but have some odd issues with desktop clients (some users have that + headsets). I'm wondering if related to option to use tunnel when put of office - it's another subnet so thinks it's outside firewall?
