Hi,

Could I get an advice on how to if possible to have 3cx hosted for two locations along with voxtelesys with 2 DID that would display caller ID for each location?
Right now, I have location TC as the main DID for 1 trunk to voxtelesys. I use the same trunk for the other location AL with a different DID. When I call from AL, the caller ID is TC. Is there anyway to make it so that outbound from:
AL --> 3cx --> voxtelesys -- caller ID AL
TC --> 3cx --> vox --> caller ID TC

Much appreciated for advices, even if it's not possible, would using 1 3cx system against 2 voxtelesys trunks work? I am trying to cut cost as much as possible. Thank you.

Sure this will work. Depens on your pbx licence. Is it SMB or a paid one?

If I am understanding correctly you have a single 3CX PBX. If SMB then some of the below might not work.

Easy path:
Set the caller ID at the extension level, each user can use the same caller ID

Outbound rule control:
Set the caller ID on the outbound rule. You would have two rules, 1 for TC and another for AL. You would then assign the extensions or departments that can use that rule.

If you need both locations to be able to use both caller IDs:
This would combine both "easy path" and "outbound rule control".
1. Set the caller ID for each user based on their main calling
2. Create outbound rules with prefixes, that will "override" the caller ID when calling outbound. For example, I am in TC: I call 15558675309 it uses TC caller ID per my extension. I dial 2215558675309 it will use the AL caller ID, the 22 at the beginning is the prefix that 3CX will use to ID and route the call with the correct caller ID. (note you need to strip the 22 before sending to Voxtelesys) This is our video from V18, but the concept is the same in V20
