Solved 365 Calendar Sync Out of Office

Hello,

When users setup there out of office in outlook it doesn't change there status to away in 3CX. Is this because it's not on there calendar as an appointment set to out of office? All other appointments do sync accordingly.

If it doesn't recognize the out of office function in outlook, will there be plans to add that functionality later? Thanks for the help/advice.

Thanks @sbrammer, that's what I found from the sync settings page as well. My settings are below-




From what I can tell when users use this function -



It's not changing there status to Away in 3CX. Is this because it's technically a auto reply? I noticed teams is able to change it's status with the Automatic reply (Out of Office) note accordingly. Does 3CX not look at the same graph/api for this info? Do I need to tell my users to set there status to away when they leave on vacation manually and set it back to available when they return?

What you observed is correct. As the feature's name suggests, it is a Calendar to Status sync, meaning it will switch to the mentioned profile statuses based on your 365 Calendar entries.

Ok, thanks @ChrisC_3CX. It would be great to see that as an extra flag within the M365 sync setup as a feature to use the Out Of Office (auto reply) like teams can just for messaging even. But that totally makes sense and that is how I've always used my Calendar with OOF and the additional calendar schedule.

I'll try and get my users in the know to switch there status before they leave for the vacation or block there calendar out which makes more sense so people don't try and schedule things with them.
