Solved 3cx and AD sync interval

Hello Gents and Gentettes!

I was curious to how many times a day or at wich intervals the AD and 3CX sync is performed.

A customer states that new employees sometimes are not synced to 3cx right away and wants to know if this should be almost instant or that there is a time interval that the Sync starts during the day.

If you have configured MS365, an those settings enabled User Sync, then in most cases then new users should appear within a few minutes of them being created in the MS365 directory.

What happens in the background is that when you configured the App Registration in Azure AD, you gave the 3CX FQDN. What MS is supposed to do is when there is a change, notify 3CX.
As a contingency however, because there are times where MS does not send this notification, 3CX every night runs a sync against all users to re-sync any that weren't synced.

Thank you Nick for your reply , i will communicate this to our customer.
We have 365 set up and its all working brilliantly they only noticed some delay in when "sometimes" a user is added say after 30 minutes instead of a few minutes.

From what i understand there is not much you can do to force a sync at moments or anything of te sort, am i correct?

I wouldn't recommend doing this while the system is "operational" during the day, but technically speaking restarting the 3CX Management Console and System Service should force an instant check like the one that happens automatically every night.
