Issues with Andorid App - I dont know if anyone else has the same issues...

1) When receiving a call on the Android App and the app has been sat in the background, the app wakes up but you cannot always answer the call. Similarly, the app cannot make calls sometimes without being swiped shut and then reopened... It then reestablishes connection with the server and shows registered correctly.

2) The App does not have the replace + with 00 option that the web client and softphone both have
This causes the address book to be fairly unusable.

3) When dialing DTMF on the App it makes a very ugly noise.

Has anyone had the same issue / have any way of resolving the above?

Hi Steve
The highly recommended approach for this problem is to use "E164 Processing" settings in the PBX. Not only is safer, flexible and "deployable", but sometimes (SIP trunks, bridged PBXes) it can save you money.

Ok thanks - I found it didn't seem to make a difference to our Yealink phones when using an address book, but I will retry this.

Hi

I have actually found turning off the E164 settings has improved this as the SIP provider we use want the full number including 00. So we have outbound rules to reconfigure this. If we strip via E164 settings we end up putting them back on again. The E164 settings do not seem very intuitive as to what each of the box actually does.

For example in the UK if you are dialling +447968xxxxxx then locally dialling you could strip the +44 but you would need to add a 0 back in to create 07968xxxxxx.
