Hello,

We've been trying to connect our company entirely on the 3cx app and the iPhones have connected instantaneously, however with the same procedure no android phone will scan the QR code with any luck - resulting in QR provisioning failed when the clients try to connect through the QR.

Model tested (tried on two) but let's make one work at first:
Huawei - Y7Prime

Web Clients work perfectly for the users.

If you scan the QR code with device's camera, you can the open the link in a device browser, say Chrome?

The link opened up chrome, but not the config file that's showing up on iOS.

Hi!

Where are you finding the QR code? In the:
  • Welcome Email
  • Management Console
  • Webclient
  • Desktop App
?

If you are seeing it in the Management Console or Webclient, the browser URL, is it:
  • http://<Local IP Address>:<HTTP Port>
  • https://<Local IP Address>:<HTTPS Port>
  • http://<FQDN>:<HTTP Port>
  • https://<FQDN>:<HTTPS Port>
?

Also, where is your 3CX installed? On-prem, in the Cloud? And where are the Android clients located in relation to it, on the same LAN as the 3CX Server or are they connecting to the Server over the Internet?

If you are connecting remotely (not on the same LAN), have you opened the HTTPS port (default is 5001)?

When you scan the QR code, doe you get any error?
Also make sure that your 3CX is on the latest Update of V18, which is V18 Update 1 (18.0.1.237).

All apps are on the latest update.

All iOS devices work perfectly connected on the same network.

My 3cx is installed on a VM Linux Debian OS locally.

All android devices connected on the very same network iOS devices are connected on just don't show any sign of error, they basically show a window of QR provisioning failed, while iOS Devices instantly connect.

I find the QR code on the Web Client, and/or the User page in our management console. We are not getting any welcome emails due to an error I can't seem to figure out yet so I cannot try that method yet.

Further info, the connection is not secure no matter what I do with the ports. Opening up :5000 or :5001 doesn't make a difference connecting to the LOCALIP:5001 to manage 3cx.

We did manage to provision a user on android after portforwarding port :5000 and 5001 and resetting certificates on our IP:5000 management console, through browser QR scanning;
Through the app it still is not possible.
The exact way we did it:
1) Scan qr
2) Download config
3) Open config, choose 3cx as the opening app
4) 3cx now provisioned.
Even though our problem is practically solved I would like to know why through the app qr scanner we are still not able to provision users instantaneously.

Log into your Management Console using the FQDN (not IP), create a new Test Extensions, take a screenshot off it and send it to me in a PM.
you will probably have to upload it to a file sharing service of your choice (GDrive, Dropbox, WeTranser, etc...) and send me the Download link.

I will try and provision it from my location and tell you what is wrong.

Once we are done you can delete the test extension of course.

I've been trying for too long to access 3cx management console through the FQDN but it has never been able to. I've been trying to import an SSL certificate lately to see what's wrong but that came with no result either since there was a firewall problem. I'll update you with results if I ever get it to work.

We managed to provision the devices for now by downloading the configs since the QR wouldn't work.

Update: I've reinstalled all of 3CX services in our business office and I've made it work through FQDN. I'll send you a link to the extension screenshot in a private message later today.
