Good morning to all.
I purchased a Samsung Galaxy A7, with Android 8.0. In the office I have 3CX server version 15.0. If I download the 3CX client from PlayStore I will be installed the version for 3cx 15.5 that requires the QRCode (my version sends by email the provisioning file). Unfortunately I cannot upgrade the server version to 15.5.
How can I solve the problem?
Is there an APK file to download without passing through Playstore?
Thank you for all your answers
Alberto

Hello @softwork

Please note that the latest version of the 3CX client can still be provisioned using a welcome email.
Just click Later when it asks for a QR code and provision your client using your welcome email

Ciao,
the mail that is sent from the 3CX server contains only the file 3cxProv_16XXXXXX38_15 and not the QRCode. If I click the file, Android tells me that it is not possible to open the file and to search for a compatible APP in the PlayStore. Do you have any ideas for solving the problem?
An alternative might be to generate the QRCode but you should know how it is structured.
I thank you in advance for each answer.

The file is association is wrong so you will need to open the file through a file manager and select open with 3CX client. The client will provision once the association is done

Hello Yannis, from server I receive the provisioning file.
On android 8 I go to the archive. click on the file ((provisioning) and it tells me to install the "Client 3cx for android". version 15.5.344 is installed. After installing the client (given a lot of Accept) I am told to open the welcome email and scan the QRCode. if I click on "later" the 3cx starts but does not connect to the server, if I click on scan QRCode, I activate the camera.
Where am I wrong?

If you open your web client on a PC can you bring up the QR code?

the welcome email does not contain any QRCode. Only the provisioning file is attached to the email.
That's the problem...

As mentioned above the file association on your Android device is wrong. That means that when you click on the 3CX provisioning file the Android OS does not know to which client this files belongs.
You need to either try to open the file through the Gmail app of the Android device or associate the provisioning file to the 3CX client manually.

To do so i use a file manager downloaded from the Play store. For example the one i am using is called explorer. This allows you to browse the files that are located on your device.
Download the provisioning file from the welcome email. Then through the file manager software navigate to downloads and locate the file.
My app allows me to select the file and select the option Open with. Then i click on 3CX client and the 3CX client app will open and provision using the provisioning file.

Hello, thank you for your suggestion. Using the APP you recommended I was able to solve the problem.
Actually the problem was Android which did not recognize the file.
Thanks again
AA
