I upgraded one of my computers to Windows 11 Insider Preview yesterday ready for supporting the new OS. I came across a couple of interesting issues with 3CX client and resolved one of them, so I thought I would post here for the benefit of the group.
3CXPhone for Windows: Works normally EXCEPT, it will no longer drive the Plantronics EHS. The audio to headset is fine.
New 3CX Desktop App: This works also, but it has a legacy interface. I.E the layout on the screen is identical that of v16 web interface. The dialer has no popout for BLF keys, the voicemail icon is not under a second level menu, panel is called switchboard, teams is called presence, etc.
However, I resolved the issue with the new app, simply by uninstalling it, then going back into the web page and using the installation icon that comes up in the top left hand corner to reinstall it. After this is done, the new interface appears in all its glory.
I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the older client, but this didn't fix my Plantronics EHS problem. The only reason I have preferred the older client was because it supports hotkeys.
Hope this helps anyone wondering what happened to their Desktop app after upgrading to Windows 11.
