Hi everyone,

We have a user experiencing hard crashes on 3CX. Its intermittent and there's no consistency to the crashes, so I wanted to reach out on the forums to see if anyone could help me isolate the problem.

So far I've re-provisioned the user's extension and also installed a higher version of 3CX. Unfortunately the issue still persists. Below is a snippet of the last crash log timestamp... I appreciate the help anyone can provide here!

To first get a better idea of your setup, please provide the relevant information mentioned here:
https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/information-to-provide-when-requesting-help.67558/

Also, have you noticed if the 3CX Windows App crashes in specific situations? (e.g when receiving a call, when placing a call, when putting a call on hold, when launching another application etc)

As a quick test, please try the following:

1. Access the Management Console and go to Extensions.
2. Edit the Extension used by the affected 3CX Windows App and go to "Phone Provisioning"
3. Select "3CX App" from the "Your phones" drop-down list and scroll down to where you see the audio codecs.
4. If OPUS is one of the audio codecs, remove it completely from the list by hitting the X on the right hand side.
5. On the affected PC, completely exit the 3CX Windows App by going to Settings (cog wheel) >> Exit Client
6. Re-launch the app and check if the issue persists.
