Hi there-

So I have a 3CX deployment that I configured with failover during my evaluation period.. I ultimately decided to stick with the Standard license for now which does not include the failover option -- this is fine.

However, a failover event just occurred and my 3CX FQDN is now binding to the failover server and I have no way to revert our 3CX FQDN back to the Active server since we are now running a Standard license.

See attached...

How can we remove the failover configuration that was initially implemented during our trial when our license has since been downgraded to Standard which does not allow us to turn off the failover configuration?

Thanks

Ok so although it looks like failover is enabled when our license converted to standard, it looks like the FQDN has reverted back to our primary server.. I just wanted to be sure we weren't stuck in a failover configuration that was done during our trial period when that option was available.

Hi @kriley87

Glad to see your issue has been resolved/ Indeed the DNS entry will eventually revert back to the primary server since the services are up and running, but it does take some time for the TTL to expire. For standard and Pro licence keys this is 6 hours.

Hi Yannis-

Thanks for the reply.

My initial question is how can you turn off the failover configuration on a 3CX deployment when it was initially enabled during a trial period but your trial expired and your license gets downgraded to Standard?

After your license downgrades, you can't disable failover and save your changes.
