Hey,

This is our terminology for the servers :
3cx on cloud connected to local by p2p and failover server on local LAN both have different external IP working in Active/Passive

I Cant figure it out how to make phones register by FQDN and transfer automatically between servers.

If I create Split DNS role to read the cloud server and the local server by internal IP its always try to send register to phones to the local server and not the cloud one.
If I create only one DNS to cloud server the phone provision and does not transfer to the local server .

Someone can advise me please

With phones that register to a SBC, on failover they should register, only phone apps and web apps will work. Phones that register direct to the FQDN may or may not work on failover.

What are you doing here? Do you have different FQDNs for the active and passive servers? Or are you saying that you made a split dns entry and included both IPs in the same FQDN at the same time?

You need to have a single FQDN, when resolved it needs to point to the primary server. When that's down, you need it to point to the passive server. The phone just knows the FQDN and the DNS server handles pointing the phone at the correct system.

Hey,

I have single FQDN to both servers its an Enterprise Active/Passive server.
DNS server always try to send phones to the local server instead of the primary server over p2p .
Can't figure it out .
I made in my Forti a DNS server that resolves both internal IPs for the FQDN .
as follows : 192.168.X.1 Resolve 1
and after : 10.0.X.2 Resolve 2

Right, you need to make the DNS server only resolve 1 IP, not both. Then, during a failover event, you need to make it resolve the other IP instead.

Make sure to set a local TTL.

There is a way to automate it ?
All the problem is to make it automatically

The PBX can run any script you want during failover event, so you can write a script to update DNS when failover happens
