A consistent ubiquitous user experience is a sign of quality design and forethought. I have a Fanvil video doorbell that's on 3CX's official compatibility list:
  • My 3CX Windows Desktop app supports a video call from this doorbell
  • My 3CX Browser app supports a video call from this doorbell
  • My Yealink T58W (Android based) seamlessly supports a video call from this doorbell (behavior can be configured to answer with video active)
  • My 3CX Mobile App sits and spins endlessly trying to start video because H264 is unsupported from this doorbell
I'll reference this older post: 2N IP Verso no Video Calls to 3CX App
Use of Video doorbells is only going to increase as time goes on and users want a seamless user experience. Please reconsider this decision leave this basic functionality, available everywhere else in 3CX, broken for mobile.

As with most features needed in 3CX, you can craft a less than desirable work around.
ZoiPer mobile client to 3CX PBX does what 3CX mobile client to 3CX PBX can't.

Seems odd but I had to enable PBX delivers audio to get the video call to connect on the extension. Without it I couldn't start video. Normal audio only calls have always worked with or without PBX delivers audio enabled.

Although 3CX recently cut licensing costs in half... Another option is to offer two clients in the store. For those that need it for their business they can get the paid client with "Enhanced Video capability" Maybe even have video conferencing work in that one too. As of right now you're pushing clients to other apps when they need this so why not get the money? I'm sure the code base would be the pretty much the same but with one having that codec and royalty associated (unless you also add more full video conference capability).

Also it works in GS-Wave client, last I tested, which is free.

I'm not sure exactly how or what arrangement GS has for this, but all I can say is that adding support for H.264 is not in our immediate plans
