Customers can have 3CX host their 3CX system, instead of running 3CX on-premise or in a private cloud. This means 3CX will take care of:
  • System, OS, and network management
  • Automatic 3CX upgrades and updates
  • Daily backups
  • 24/7 system monitoring.
Read the guide on how to get 3CX hosted and to help you start using your 3CX hosted instance.

Hi, I just signed up here. I am looking to integrate an E1 line instead of SIP trunks, how do I go about doing this?

You'll need a gateway, and for that you need to be self-hosted, preferably on-premise with that kind of equipment.

Hosted won't help you here.

Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated. I will have to redesign my deployment and rollout to account for this, I'm considering E1 as opposed to SIP due to unavailability of SIP service locally.

Hi, does 3CX hosted supports integration with Grandstream HT1802 gateway via local SBC ?

Got 3CX hosted with local Debian SBC up and running but, not sure how to connect the Grandstream Gateway (FXS) with the SBC as I don’t have access to the mgmt console.

3CX Hosted —> Local SBC —> HT1802 Gateway —> FXS/FXO line

Can someone please advise on how to get this setup ?

Free/SMB or dedicated (which can be hosted by 3CX as well)
Does your FQDN end with 3cx.cloud?

Regardless, you can manually provision against a SBC by filling in the proxy fields with the SBC information.

Yes, correct - I’m using the free hosted version xxx.3CX.cloud.

I’ve used 3CX a few years back - In the cloud hosted install, I don’t see the usual management console - Is that normal ?

So, I can’t access the SBC locally via http://sbc-local IP:5510 ?

Do you have any setup guide for connecting the local SBC to an HT1802 FXS gateway ?

Thanks,
Rao

I’m trying to connect my local pots line (RJ-11) to 3CX and configure inbound/outbound call but, I’m confused with the hosted free version as I don’t see the usual management console.

Hi @rlutchia so you have an analog from your PSTN provider, so please note that in this escenario you need a FXO gateway to plug that landline and use it for inbound/outbound calls to the PSTN.

FXS ATA/Gateways are intended for analog phones, fax machines, POS...

However using the FREE/SMB 3CX Version you can not use a FXO Gateway, in that scenario you need a dedicated installation.

We recommend you to use a supported VoIP Provider to use the service for external calls with the 3CX.

Have a great day!

Thanks so much.

you are welcome!

Upgrade the phone firmware first especially if you are setting up a router phone: https://www.3cx.com/docs/phone-firmwares/

If you are setting up a new phone disconnect it so it won’t keep failing to log in, and extending your block.
