We are a 3CX hosted environment. Trying to upgrade from version 18.0 Update 9 (Build 20) to Version 20. The upgrade fails with this error message: Your 3CX Debian OS failed to update

I've already created the new system owner account and logged in as that account when attempting the upgrade. I've tried 3 times and it has failed each time with the same message. I also rebooted the host before trying the third time.

Any advice?

Unclear if this is related, but we are also being prompted to migrate this instance to Digital Ocean. My intention was to complete the upgrade first, then migrate.

Did you get an email with a log file attachment? If not, where do Notification Emails go? The log file should give an indication as to what made it fail.

You will need to migrate first to Digital Ocean and then proceed with the upgrade to V20.
Do you have the option to migrate?

Thank you. Yes, we see the option to migrate. I will try the migration first then.

Please first ensure that you have downloaded a full backup on your machine just in case.
Then proceed with the migration and let us know the outcome.

Thank you again, TheodorosG_3CX. We migrated to Digital Ocean, did a fresh backup again, then successfully upgraded to V20.
