Good Afternoon,

I am wanting to deploy my 3cx to linode using the ISO. I found a guide that linode have on how to install a custom distro, and I am working on testing this so I can document it and write a guide for Linode on how this can be done but I am currently encountering errors.

Firstly when installing 3cx does it use a preseed file and the automatic install to automate the installation of 3cx? Reason I am asking is that if I do a normal install it attempts to just install a vanilla debian installation.

Secondly where can i find the preseed.cfg file so I can use that to automate the installation.

@jaquilina may I ask why you are trying to go to an unsupported platform ?
Why don't you use the 3CX Deployment Wizard via the portal to deploy to Self Host at Digital Ocean in 10 min ?
Prices are the same.

3cx deployment wizard does not ask for a FQDN
"Hosted by 3CX" does not allow for a custom FQDN

You'll need to install your own server, on a PC or supported hypervisor. Or for instance we host 3CX for our clients.
