3CX IPv6 - dual stack

Hi,

I know that they are some topics about IPv6 on the forum, but I couldn't find anything that would answer my question.

Is it possible to have a 3CX PBX running with both IPv4 and IPv6, so a customer can access the PBX over IPv4 and IPv6 simultaneously ? When I say access I mean both the Management Console and any softphone clients ?

I have enabled manually IPv6 on Debian, and I can see that the Management Console shows IPv6 being enabled, and I can see the actual IPv6 address. When I however try to access the Management Console over IPv6 or even ping it, it doesn't work.

I would appreciate any suggestions

Hello, a very good idea to use IP V6, especially in the mobile network, it is highly recommended to look for access, of course you put AAAA Resource Record in the DNS server.

It is absolutely possible and in fact, if 3CX detects that you have both a Public IPv4 and an IPv6, if you use a 3CX FQDN it will automatically create both an A and AAAA record.

All 3cx Apps support IPv6 normally, however it has come to our attention many times that some carriers might not route IPv6 correctly, so the only way around this is disabling IPv6.

To the point though of your question, yes you can do it.
If you have problems though, one of the first things we advise is turning it off and trying again.
