Hi

After updating my phone to the latest version over the weekend I can no longer receive calls when the phone is locked. The 3cx app flashes up saying not register then disappears. When the phone is unlocked it works fine. Before the update it was working well.
I'm using a moto g running android 8.1.0 (current version: OPP28.85-13)
Any suggestions on how to fix this? Can I revert to the previous version?

Please remove 3CX appl from "Optimize battery usage" under device maintenance
Reboot the device and check this

3CX tunnel enabled for this extension ?
Outbound calls work fine from this Android ?

I have this same problem with my Nokia running stock Android 8.1.0. Immediately after I lock the screen I can receive a call, but after several minutes asleep the app will not ring. I've already disabled battery optimization for the 3CX app. Below is the thread I created several weeks ago, and I've made zero progress since then. I'm currently running app version 15.5.346.651.

Removing the battery optimizations worked for me. Although I noticed it didn't affect other voip applications such as viber. Thanks for the help.

How PUSH behaves may also depend on what PBX version you're running. In PBX SP5 and above, PUSH was re-done entirely and it would be expected to run a lot better than previous versions. If you're running something that's not SP5 or above, i'd suggest you update.

Additionally, just to mention, if you have any power management or "cleaner" apps on your phone, when you run these to try and cleanup space and memory from your phone, they will also mess with settings of all apps including 3CX.

After a couple of days the problem came back again even though battery optimisations is still disabled. I don't have any cleaner apps. I'm running the latest version of the PBX and there are no outstanding updates. The 3cx tunnel for the extension is enabled and I can make outgoing calls from the 3cx app. It will also receive calls if the screen isn't locked.

What version of the 3CX PBX are you running and with what service pack?

I'm running 15.5.15502.6 I think that's service pack 6.

Yep, that's SP6. It should be working perfectly.

  1. Is your PBX's MyPhone port (Usually 5001) reachable from the outside world? This is a requirement for PUSH to work.
  2. Sometimes for reasons, Google tends to blacklist some Firebase PUSH accounts or specific device ID's. This may have happened for you. Try creating a new firebase project and add the new credentials in your "PBX > Settings > 3CX Phone" part of the PBX.

5001 is allowed through the firewall where can I confirm the MyPhone port is 5001?
I've created a new firebase project but when a call is received it just flashes up with a black screen and the 3cx app sometimes crashes.

I've tryed the latest beta version but it had the same problem. Is there a way to install the 3CX Client for Android 15.5.345.642 or 15.5.344.492 on my phone?

We've found an issue in the current beta related to PUSH backwards compatibility with PBX's below SP5.

For the time i suggest you use the live version of the 3CX client for Android for your daily use rather than the beta.

My PBX is using SP6 and I have version 15.5.346.651 which is the non beta version but I still have the same issue.

Is there any way to download the 3cx android app version 15.5.345.642 or 15.5.344.492 even if it's not through the play store? It's a real pain not being able to receive calls.

I've sent you a PM.
