3cx mcu connection failed 0x0020

Good morning,

Getting the dreaded MCU Connection failed in UK this morning (been running video conferences all week) we had one this morning where everyone is now getting this message. Server is cloud hosted, no firewall issues running the latest release of 3CX (Version 20.0 Update 4)

We can't even use the "Meet" option on any machine from any location with in the UK. I have tried to switch out the video conferencing location to check if it's just the UK but to no avail.

Are there server side issues or am I going mad?

Also, to add to this as I don't really wish to break anything would someone be able to advise me how to change the DNS to something else?

I have changed it in the resolvconf file which works immediately, however when the server is rebooted it switches back to the 3CX default ones. I have attempted to edit the head file but it doesn't exist.

Before I go to far in fault finding, any help would be great

I tried wget https://eu027-fra.3cx.net and get the following error:
ERROR: The certificate of ‘eu027-fra.3cx.net’ is not trusted.
ERROR: The certificate of ‘eu027-fra.3cx.net’ has expired.

It is the same on other locations. It seems 3cx forget to renew the certificates, if you browse the address you can see that the let´s encrypt certificates expired on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 3:29:24 AM

Perfect, I was worried it was just me!

Surprised they have let that slide (also for the whole day and no resolution)

My company decided that due to issues like this they are moving from 3CX for the Web conferences to Teams which is a shame but the support just isn't there!

Our apologies. It seems that our internal cert autorenewal failed and so did our cert expiration notifications which resulted in a half day downtime before we could manually remedy the issue.

My company decided that due to issues like this they are moving from 3CX for the Web conferences to Teams which is a shame but the support just isn't there!

That's a shame.
