Hello, I noticed a blog post about the new Windows client was removed. Is there an issue with it?
The link was: "https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/new-windows-client/"

I was going to ask about a breakdown of the pros and cons between the
  • Desktop app
  • PWA version
  • Windows App
  • New Windows Client
I am just hoping that all these versions don't become a nightmare like VitalPBX numerous "client" versions and different names. So confusing.

Thank you for your assistance

Webclient/PWA: Here to stay. V20 will make it better and it integrates with the new Store app.

DesktopApp: this will be discontinued. The new Store app will replace this.

"Windows App" (the old legacy Windows client): that's dead and shouldn't be used unless absolutely necessary. It will probably be gone by the time v20 arrives.

The New Windows Client: that's the new Store app. It will be a softphone only, with very limited features, since it will be controlled by the Webclient. You'll see that Chat and Meet are just opening the Webclient.

Most importantly for us, which app allows TAPI outbound dialing? Yes, I know TAPI is an old standard but the medical industry moves slowly and it's the only option we have for now.

Currently, only the DesktopApp has TAPI.

The Store client should get it at some point during the beta or soon after.
