3CX Opera Integration-Minibar

One of our partner woud like to propose 3CX system to a hotel customer using Opera PMS. The customer needs to have the minbar feature work through the integration with Opera.

I checked with my account manager that this feature shall still work although there is no guide of configuring minibar in the 3CX hotel integration guide. It said that it is under PMS instead of the 3CX. I understand that the PMS can define the minibar charge type like "based on total amount" or "based on item and quantity", and the item code for a coke. But to post the minibar charge from a room extension, I think a dial code of minibar is defined from the 3CX end like "*68" for reporting the maid status. The housekeeper can dial the minibar dial code following with item code*quantity to post the charge to PMS.

Does anyone have the experience with how to post the minibar charge from a room extension to Opera PMS? Thanks.

Hi, the PMS integration does not include the minibar feature.

Here you may find a complete list of the maid codes that you can use with the PMS integration.

Hi, does it mean the hotel customer can not have the minibar feature when using 3CX hotel integration with their PMS system? Just want to be clear of it as I was told that the minibar feature still work from my account manager.

Only maid codes are currently supported by 3CX PBX. There is no way to setup/dial minibar sequences.

@ivank, Minibar is a quite often requested feature by the hotel customer. I remembered that it was supported in the past. May I know why it is unsupported? Any plan to support it again?
