Hi There.

I have a pbx currently on Version 20.0 Update 2 when trying to update to Update 3 it seems to go through but then i am unable to access the PBX and a backup needs to be restored. All the services seem to be disabled and even if I enable them and try to start them they fail and the PBX stays inaccessible.

The PBX is running on Debian 12 as per the 3CX Linux installer and was working fine up until this point.

What can i do to get this PBX updated and working?

How did you try to update? From Admin console or via CLI?
Did you get an email about the update failing? If so, please send me a PM with the log that was attached in that email.
In what state is the machine now? Did you re-deploy an Update 2 and restored a backup?

I have similar issue today also. But on Windows system.

We were running v20 update 2, we clicked to install update 3. All seemed to be installing, waited hours later services still not started only database service running. No email ever about failed install. Attempts to start services don't work, re-install of 3cx using v20.2 or v20.3 install with restoring backup file, goes through the motions but just gets stuck at binding instance to user screen and services appear to have same starting issue as update 3 caused.

Any help...

My issue was resolved after reinstallation of the 3cx Debian VM that we had running. There was an issue with the RMM agent we are using blocking the update. After reinstallation and restore of a previous backup the upgrade went through and I was able to reinstall our RMM agent. Everything is working perfectly now.
