Hi Guys

Tried to post on the 3CX Phone for Windows forum but blocked, we have recently upgraded 3CX from version 11 to 12 all is working fine except the windows client.

It works fine for calls but presence and contacts does not work at all and comes up with the error: 3CX for windows could not establish a connection to the 3CX Phone System Web API. As a result features like Contact and presence information will not be available. You can still make Phone Calls via SIP whilst we try and re-establish full functionality in the background

Anyone have any ideas?

Can you hit port 5000 of the server 3CX is running on from your client?

Re: 3CX Phone for Windows cannot establish connection to Web

I seems so as the provisioning file is located at IP:5000/provisioning and we can make calls fine from it

We have installed the windows client on another laptop on a different internet connection and it works fine, does the 3Cs Phone Windows Client require a certain port range to be open on an internet router? as the one that works is showing it to be using local ports: 51123 and 56632
