Hello! A client of mine needs to check the call log every once in a while to check who is being called and who is calling at a given moment. I know there is a call report in the pro version but it can be set daily and thus it is not "realtime". I also know that it is possible to check extension calls if they login in the webclient but they would be checking 10+ extensions and i don't think i would let him do that. Is it possible without giving access to the client?

Sounds like pro features to be honest. Specifically queue/agent management and reporting. But, it sounds like you have the free/standard version. You'd have to use the reports you have available or go through the call logs and filter by extensions. Otherwise, you might have to look at 3rd party integration software.

I do have a pro version where i can try some things, i logged in and checked some of the options available and i did not see something like an hourly report

If the built-in reports don't meet your needs, you can build your own reports based on the CDR files that 3CX can optionally create. see "Settings --> CDR".

You can configure 3CX to create one text file for each call which is created when the call is dropped. The CDR shows information including who took/placed the call, date and time, duration, etc.

There are some challenges getting access to these files if your 3CX server is hosted, but you could set up an FTP connection and pull the files as needed. You would need to parse the CSV files and put the data into a database, then build the desired report(s) using whatever reporting tool you prefer.

In our case, we built a relay application that detects new CDR files and pushes the events to our Exporter tool which then places the data automatically into SQL in real-time. This approach would ensure you always have the data you need so the report could be run at any time and the data would always be up to date.

Ty for your answer, i thought about doing something like that but i highly doubt they would pay for something as complicated as this. Ty.

If you want a ready to roll solution based on CDRs you could try CallSequitur, this will give you an auto updating near real-time view of up to the last 20 calls (near real time = on completion of each call as it is CDR based). Calls can be filtered by direction if desired (i.e I/C, O/G, or define a custom call type). In addition to the call details you also get view of call activity levels / sim calls, call volumes and costs.
