3CX SBC Type

Hi,

I have a site that will be using the 3CX contact center with an Avaya IP office, I see that an SBC is needed to link more than two sites, but I would like to know if the 3CX SBC is a true SBC or is it just to link two PBX's. I ask this because if it's not I would need to add a SBC.

The 3CX SBC is purely for 3CX's PBX to link remote phones to remove the need of opening ports.

Your going to have hell of a time with a Avaya SBCE unless your going to have Avaya professional services do it or your’re expert with the product . You can check the Avaya support pages as they are starting to put out more and more white docs for their products to work with 3cx (still not supported by 3cx)

easy route would be a sip trunk between the two systems over a VPN or SDN if they are separate sites but if you need a true SBC for additional functionality I would look for another SBC vendor.
